Tito Agnoli (1931-2012) was trained as a painter but went on to enrol in the Faculty of Architecture in 1949, where he graduated in 1959 and became an assistant to Gio Ponti and to Carlo De Carli. He specialised in industrial design, and was prolific in the fields of furniture and lighting throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s, creating seating designs for luxury Italian brands such as Arflex, Bonacina, Matteo Grassii, Poltrona Frau, Ycami, and lighting designs for Oluce.
His most notable design is this sculptural P3 lounge chair for Pierantonio Bonacina, made from wicker around a tubular steel frame. The key feature here is it’s ergonomic shape that is incredibly comfortable to sit in.
Our Tito chair is handmade by skilled artisans using sustainable rattan.
